一、國立成功大學（以下簡稱本校）為規劃菁英人才深耕培育計畫，提供獎學金以拔擢校內優秀學生，特訂定本要點。

1.  National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) provides scholarships to academically outstanding students in its plan to cultivate talented professionals. Accordingly, the following directions are established for the administration of scholarship applications.

二、申請人應具下列資格之一：

(一)本校學士班應屆畢業生逕行修讀博士學位。

(二)本校碩士班逕行修讀博士學位，且學士班為本校畢業者。

2. Applicants shall meet one of the following requirements:

  (1) NCKU undergraduate students in the graduating class approved for direct admission into a doctoral program

  (2) NCKU master’s students, who have graduated with a bachelor degree from NCKU, approved for direct admission into a doctoral program.

三、有下列情形之一者，不得申領本獎學金，已申領者應廢止且不再恢復獎助資格：

(一)在校內外從事專職工作。

(二)在職生。

(三)已領取本校「研究生獎助學金實施辦法」之獎助學金者。

(四)錄取當學年度未完成註冊或保留入學資格者。

(五)入學後休學、退學、畢業、轉入或轉回碩士班就讀。

前項第五款情形，自次月起不再核給。

3. Applicants and recipients shall be revoked of the eligibility to receive the scholarship under any of the following circumstances:

(1) Working in full-time employment at NCKU or any other institution.

(2) Enrolled with the status of an in-service student

(3) Recipients of scholarship or assistantship awarded according to NCKU Regulations for Graduate Students’ Scholarships and Assistantships.

(4) Those who have failed to complete academic registration or who have completed their application for admission deferment in the year of admission.

(5) Those entering a status of academic suspension, dismissal, graduation, transfer or return to a master’s program following their enrollment.

Recipients entering a status specified in Item (5) shall not receive the scholarship starting from the month right after the registration of the status.    

四、獎學金金額：每名每月由本校支給新臺幣參萬元，另獲獎學生之指導教授須支給新臺幣壹萬元為原則。

4. Scholarship Amounts: In principle, every recipient will receive a monthly scholarship of NT$30,000 from the school authority and NT$10,000 from their academic advisor.

五、本獎學金經審查通過後，核給獎助期間自博士班入學起至第三學年止，每學年核給12個月。

5. Upon approval, every recipient shall receive the monthly scholarship for 12 months in each academic year during the period from the year of admission through their third academic year.

六、經費來源：本獎學金所需經費由本校校務基金及獲獎學生之指導教授研究計畫項下經費共同支應。

6. Scholarship Funding: The scholarship shall be funded by the NCKU Endowment Fund and the budget for research projects conducted by the academic advisor.

七、申領人須成績優良，且具研究潛力，由指導教授推薦，經系(所、學位學程)、院主管核定後，送交教務處審定。

7. Applicants who are academically outstanding with research potential shall be recommended by their academic advisor to the prospective department (graduate institute, degree program). Upon approval by the department chair, graduate institute or program director, recommendations shall be submitted to the Office of Academic Affairs for final approval.

八、本獎學金得視經費編列及籌措情形調整額度或停止本要點之實施。

8. If the related budget becomes limited or there are problems with regard to fund-raising, then the amounts set out above may be adjusted, or these Directions may be terminated.      

九、本要點經教務會議及校務基金管理委員會通過後實施，修正時亦同。本要點修正若未涉及校務基金經費動支，免提校務基金管理委員會審議。

9.  These Directions shall be approved by the Academic Affairs Council and the NCKU Endowment Fund Management Committee before taking effect. Any amendments shall be processed accordingly. However, should no amendment involve expenditures from the NCKU endowment fund, these Directions may be revised and approved solely by the Academic Affairs Council before taking effect.
