一、依據「國立成功大學國際博士生獎助學金實施要點」訂定成大規劃與設計學院(以下簡稱本院)窮理致知獎助學金實施要點(以下簡稱本要點)。

1. According to National Cheng Kung University Implementation Guidelines for Distinguished International PhD Student Scholarships, Implementation Guidelines for Veritas et Conscientia Scholarships (VCS) are established by College of Planning and Design.

二、本要點旨在補助學術表現優異、具有研究潛力、國際競爭力及具有良好溝通能力之外國學生。

2. Implementation Guidelines for Veritas et Conscientia Scholarships (VCS) awarded to those who are academically excellent with research potential, international competitiveness, and good communication skills.

三、窮理致知獎助學金之申請，須檢附下列證件資料：

（一）申請資格：

1.新生：依「教育部外國學生來臺就學辦法」申請入學，研究成果卓著之國際學位生博士班新生且經所屬系所推薦者。

2.舊生：在本校就學一學年以上或逕讀博士一學期以上之博士生，且行為表現無不良紀錄者。

（二）申請資料：

1.新生：依本校「外國學生申請入學」方式辦理。

2.舊生：需繳交書面研究成果報告及指導教授推薦函，以及佐證資料如參與國際競賽獲獎證明、國際期刊論文至少1篇或特殊研究貢獻之證明等。

（三）審核方式：由系所進行初審，送交學院院主管會議進行複審，審核結果送國際事務處國際學生事務組備查。每次核定一學年。

（四）獎助金額及其他規定悉依「國立成功大學國際博士生獎助學金實施要點」辦理。此獎助學金需有指導教授配合款方得領取。

3. Veritas et Conscientia Scholarships (VCS):

(1)   Applicant eligibility:

(1.1)         New students: Applicants who are admitted into NCKU as academically distinguished international students in accordance with the MOE Regulations Regarding International Student Undertaking Studies and who are recommended by the affiliated college.

(1.2)         Continuing students: Applicants who are officially enrolled at NCKU as international students and who have completed at least one year of academic study without any official record of misconduct.

(2)   Required documents for application:

(2-1) New students: Applicants shall submit required documents according to the NCKU Guidelines for International Student Admission Applications.

(2-2) Continuing students: Applicants shall submit a written report of research achievements, a recommendation letter from the advisor, as well as supporting materials such as a certificate of participation in an international competition, at least one international journal paper or a certificate of special research contribution, etc. are required.

(3)   Review procedure: An application shall be submitted to the affiliated department for a preliminary review and to the meeting of the College Chief for a secondary review. The review results shall be submitted to the Office of International Affairs for administrative reference. It is approved for one academic year at a time.

(4)   Amounts awarded and other regulations shall according to the NCKU Guidelines for International Student Admission Applications. The scholarship must be disbursed to a recipient with a matching allowance from the advisor.

四、申請時間：

1.新生：依本校「外國學生申請入學」時間辦理。

2.舊生：秋季班入學者每年7月中至8月底前向各系所申請；春季班入學者於每年1月中至2月底前向各系所申請。

4.    Application Period:

(1)    New students: Please refer to the NCKU Guidelines for International Student Admission Applications.

(2)    Continuing Students:

(2-1) Those admitted in the fall semester shall submit an annual scholarship application to the affiliated department/institute during the period from mid-July to the end of August.

(2-2) Those admitted in the spring semester shall submit an annual scholarship application to the affiliated department/institute during the period from mid-January to the end of February.

五、領取窮理致知獎助學金者須配合規定於期限內繳交應繳之資料與文件。

5.    Recipients are obligated to submit the required documents within the deadline.

六、本辦法未盡事宜，悉依相關法令規定辦理。

6.    Matters that are not covered by these Guidelines shall be administered according to the relevant regulations.

七、本要點經院務會議通過後實施，修正時亦同。

7.    These Guidelines shall be approved by the College Affairs Committee before taking effect.
