Guidelines for Establishment of Advisory Committee of Research Center for Humanities and Social Sciences

一、 國立成功大學人文社會科學中心（以下簡稱本中心）為提昇人文社會科學領域之研究水準，依國立成功大學人文科學中心設置辦法第五條規定，設國立成功大學人文社會科學中心諮議委員會（以下簡稱本委員會）。

The Research Center for Humanities and Social Sciences of National Cheng Kung University (hereinafter the “Center”) has established the Advisory Committee (hereinafter the “Committee”), Research Center for Humanities and Social Sciences, in accordance with Article 5 of the Regulations for Establishment of Research Center for Humanities and Social Sciences, National Cheng Kung University in order to upgrade the research standard in the field of humanities and social sciences.

二、 本委員會之成員如下：

（一）校長為主任委員。

（二）當然委員：由校長敦聘副校長、研發長、文學院院長及社會科學院院長擔任。

（三）其他委員：由本中心審議委員會推薦國內外人文社會科學領域聲望卓著之學者四至六人，陳請校長聘任之。

2.  The members of the Committee are as follows:

(1) The President of the University serves as the Chairman.

(2) Ex-officio members: Vice President of the University, Director of the Office of Research and Development, Dean of College of Liberal Arts and Dean of College of Social Science under the President’s invitation.

(3) Other members: 4 to 6 reputable domestic and overseas scholars in the field of humanities and social sciences recommended by the Review Committee of the Center and then hired by the President.

三、 本委員會委員，任期二年，任期屆滿得續聘之。

本委員會委員出缺時，本委員會得予補聘；補聘委員之任期至原委員任期屆滿之日為止。

3.  Members of the Committee serve terms of 2 years. The same member may be engaged again upon expiry of the term.

Any vacancy of members in the Committee may be filled by the Committee. The term of the replacement member shall serve the remaining term as the replaced member.

四、 本委員會每年至少開會一次，視業務需要得召開臨時會議，對本中心研究發展提供相關建言。

本委員會委員均為無給職。但非由本校人員兼任者，得依規定支給出席費（諮詢費）、交通費。

4.  The Committee shall meet at least once every year. Special meetings may be held as required. The Committee shall provide relevant recommendations about the research and development of the Center.

There shall be no remuneration for the members of the Committee. However, any member who does not belong to staffs of the NCKU university may claim attendance fee (advisory fee) or transportation subsidy in accordance with the relevant regulations.

五、 本委員會開會時以主任委員為主席；主任委員因故不能出席時，指定委員一人代理之。

5.  The Commissioner of Committee shall serve as the convener of the Committee.  If the Commissioner cannot attend the meeting due to any reasons, one member shall be designated by the Commissioner to act on the behalf.

六、 本委員會開會時，須有委員三分之二以上出席始得開議。決議事項須有出席委員過半數之同意。

6.  The quorum for holding meetings of the Committee is more than two thirds of all members. Resolutions shall be approved by the majority of the members attending the meeting.

七、 本委員會委員因故不能出席時，不能委任他人代理，但得以通信方式，提出建議。

7.  If any members of the Committee cannot attend the meeting for any reasons, he/she cannot assign anyone to attend the meeting on the behalf. However, in such circumstance, the member may still provide his/her suggestion through correspondence.

八、 本委員會置執行長一人，由本中心主任擔任，並於本委員會開會時列席報告中心成果、未來發展方向及規劃等相關業務，並得視需要邀請有關人員列席報告或說明。

8.    The Committee has one Executive Manager, to be served by the Chairman of the Center. The Chairman shall attend meetings of the Committee to report about relevant activities such as the results and the direction and planning of its future development of the Center. Relevant persons may be invited to join the meetings as required to attend the meetings to make reports or provide explanations.

九、 本要點經本校主管會報通過後實施，修正時亦同。

9.  These Guidelines shall be effective after being approved by the Executive meeting of the University. The same shall be applied where the guidelines are amended.
