一、為督導製造資訊與系統研究所〈以下簡稱本所〉碩士班研究生進修,並維持碩士班水準,特訂定本要點。

入學

二、入學考試相關規定,依本校招生簡章規定辦理。

選定指導教授

三、碩士班學生應於入學後第一學期開學一個月內自行選定,否則由所務會議指定一論文指導教授,並以書面向本所提出。

四、論文指導教授必須為本所專任助理教授以上之教師。符合口試委員資格者可擔任共同指導教授。

選修課程與修業年限

五、碩士班修業年限為一至四年。

六、碩士班畢業學分除專題討論四學期與論文外,至少需修滿研究所級之課程24學分。

七、碩士班研究生至少必須選修本所所開課程4門課〈12學分〉(含入學已辦學分抵免之本所主開課程) ,並修畢研究生通識(含學術倫理、中英文寫作能力、溝通表達能力),其中學術倫理至少6小時、中英文寫作能力及溝通表達能力至少各1小時。

八、碩士班研究生入學學分抵免悉依本所抵免學分原則與程序辦理。

九、碩士班研究生選修之課程須經指導教授核可。

十、學生各科目學期成績及論文考試成績均以一百分為滿分,七十分為及格;未達七十分者不給學分。必修科目不及格者,不得補考,應令重修。操行成績以六十分為及格。

轉所規定

十一、研究生修業滿一學年以上,或境外研究生修業滿一學期以上,並符合以下條件者得轉所。

1.    申請轉所學生須修畢本所核心課程 6 學分及製造所課程 6 學分(含入學已辦學分抵免之本所課程),且前揭學分分數均在 90 分以上,方得提出申請。

2.    申請者應比照推甄準備資料說明轉所的必要性,並且充分呈現在本所的努力以及不可抗拒之因素,送所務會議書面審查,並至所務會議報告。

3.    轉出及轉入所長以及雙邊指導教授必須共同開會,對學生狀況做充分討論以達成共識。

碩士論文計畫口試

十二、為提昇本所研究生研究績效,於每年碩二下學期前五週之專題討論舉行論文計畫口試。

十三、論文計畫口試委員由各指導教授自行聘請。

十四、未通過者需由學生與指導教授協商更正論文計畫內容。至少距前次報告時間一個月後始能再訂論文計畫口試時間,論文計畫通過三個月後,始能提出畢業論文口試。

論文口試

十五、論文口試應於符合上列所有相關畢業規定後,才能提出申請。

十六、學位考試申請書須經指導教授認可後,以書面向本所所長提出。

退學

十七、研究生有下列情形之一者,應令退學:

(一)修業期限屆滿,而仍未修足應修科目與學分者。

(二)學位考試不及格,經重考一次仍不及格者。

(三)逾期未註冊或休學逾期未復學者。

(四)操行成績不及格者。

(五)入學資格經審核不合格者。

(六)所著論文、創作、展演、書面報告或技術報告有抄襲或舞弊情事經調查屬實者。

(七)其他符合各學系(所)修業規章中之退學規定,並經本所所務會議決議退學者。

研究生在校期間,如有違犯校規,或其他違法不端情事,得依本校學生獎懲辦法,視其情節輕重,予以退學或其他適當之處分。

附則

十八、以上相關規定,如有未詳盡部分,交由所務會議裁定之。

十九、本辦法經所務會議通過後實施,修訂時亦同。

1.     In order to supervise the master's program students of the Institute of Manufacturing Information and Systems (hereinafter referred to as "the Institute") and maintain the standard of the master's program, these Directions are formulated.

Admission

2.     The directions related to admission examinations shall be implemented in accordance with the university's admission brochure.

Selection of Advisor

3.     Master's students shall select a thesis advisor within one month after the first semester begins, or a thesis advisor will be assigned to them at the institute meeting. The decision shall be submitted to the Institute in written form.

4.     The thesis advisor must be a full-time assistant professor or above at the Institute. Individuals eligible to serve as thesis committee members may serve as co-advisors.

Elective Courses and Duration of Study

5.     The duration of study for master's students is 1 to 4 years.

6.     In addition to seminar for four semesters and thesis work, master's students must complete at least 24 credits of graduate-level courses.

7.     Master's students must select and complete four courses (12 credits) offered by the Institute (including courses for which credits have been waived upon admission). Additionally, they must complete graduate-level general education requirements, including academic ethics, proficiency in both Chinese and English writing, and communication skills. Specifically, the academic ethics requirement must consist of at least 6 hours, while proficiency in Chinese and English writing as well as communication skills must each be at least 1 hour.

8.     Credits waived upon admission for master's students shall be handled according to the Institute's Master's Program Credit Waiver Principles.

9.     Courses selected by master's students must be approved by their thesis advisor.

10.  The semester grades for each course and the thesis examination scores are based on a scale of 100 points, with 70 points considered passing; no credit is given for grades below70. Students who fail required courses are not eligible for makeup exams and must retake the courses. Conduct grades require a minimum passing score of 60.

Regulations for Transferring Institutes

11.  Graduate students who have completed at least one academic year of study or international graduate students who have completed at least one semester of study and meet the following conditions are eligible to transfer institute:

a.      Applicants for institute transfer must have completed 6 credits of core courses and 6 credits of courses offered by the Institute (including courses for which credits have been waived upon admission) with a grade of 90 or above in each course before submitting the application.

b.     Applicants should prepare materials explaining the necessity of transferring institutes, similar to those required for recommendation application, and should adequately demonstrate their efforts within the current institute as well as any compelling reasons for transfer. These materials will be reviewed in writing by the institute meeting and the applicant shall present at the meeting.

c.      The directors of the transferring and receiving institutes, along with the current advisor and the advisor-to-be, must convene a meeting to thoroughly discuss the student's situation and reach a consensus.

Thesis Proposal Defense

12.  In order to enhance the research performance of master’s program, a thesis proposal defense shall be held during the first five weeks of the first semester of the second academic year.

13.  Thesis proposal defense committee members shall be appointed by the thesis advisor.

14.  Students who do not pass the defense must consult with their thesis advisor to revise the content of the thesis proposal. A new defense can only be scheduled at least one month after the previous one. After three months the thesis proposal defense is passed, the thesis defense can be applied for.

Thesis Defense

15.  The thesis defense can only be applied for after meeting all the relevant graduation requirements listed above.

16.  The application for the degree examination must be approved by the thesis advisor and submitted in writing to the director of the Institute.

Dismissal

17.  Graduate students shall be dismissed under the following circumstances:

(1)   Failure to complete the required courses and credits within the duration of study.

(2)   Failing the degree examination and failing again after a re-examination.

(3)   Failure to fails to register or re-enroll after a study suspension by the designated deadline.

(4)   Failure to meet the conduct grade requirements.

(5)   Disqualification of admission eligibility after review.

(6)   Plagiarism or cheating in thesis, creation, exhibition, written reports, or technical reports confirmed after investigation.

(7)   Other circumstances stipulated in the regulations for dismissal of each department (or institute), and decided dismissal by the Institute meeting.

 

During their enrollment, graduate students who violate school regulations or engage in other illegal or dishonest activities may be subject to dismissal or other appropriate penalties in accordance with National Cheng Kung University Directions for Student Rewards and Penalties.

Supplementary Provisions

18.  Any provisions not detailed above shall be determined by the Institute meeting.

19.  These regulations shall be implemented upon approval by the Institute meeting, and any revisions shall follow the same procedure.
